How Does Emsella Treatment Work?

HIFEM technology stimulates deep pelvic floor muscle contractions, much like Kegel exercises, but at a much higher intensity and frequency. 

It works by using electromagnetic technology to stimulate your pelvic floor muscles, and it feels similar to a TENS machine. Your doctor can adjust the intensity of the frequency for your comfort, and the results can last between 9 – 12 months.

It’s recommended that you have a minimum of 6 treatments to get the most from your Emsella treatment. These effective contractions build and tone the muscles over time, strengthening your vaginal walls by creating a tighter vaginal canal. It can even improve sensation for vaginal tissues, including the vaginal opening and clitoris.

What to Expect During and After Emsella Treatment

During the procedure, you sit and relax on an Emsella chair in a private treatment room. You can read a book or magazine.

You may feel a slight tingling during your treatment, but no pain or discomfort should be felt. As soon as 30 minutes are up, you will be able to leave and carry on with your day as normal.

You should feel a significant change in around 4-6 weeks, and results will last between 6 – 12 months. Maintenance treatments are recommended, and your doctor should cover this during your consultation or during post-treatment follow up.
