The Vampire FaceLift Procedure

As featured in The Sun.

The Sun test out the latest extreme anti-ageing treatment aka the ‘vampire facial’ – but does it work?

The term Vampire Facelift refers to a medical procedure in which platelet-derived growth factors obtained from a person’s own blood are injected back into the skin of their face in specifically defined areas to enhance appearance and health

Ageing skin often shows the following changes

  1. A change in skin colour, the skin can appear grey because of less blood flow.
  2. Facial Shape increases droopiness as muscle and collagen decrease.
  3. Texture in the skin becomes less smooth. As a result, the person looks “worn”, or “tired” or “droopy.”

The Vampire Facelift restores shape and improves skin texture, while also providing rejuvenated and younger looking skin.

The Vampire FaceLift Procedure

First, the doctor uses HA fillers to create a beautiful, natural shape. Then, the patient’s blood is drawn, and spun in a centrifuge to isolate growth factors. When these growth factors are injected into the face, multi-potent stem cells become activated to grow new tissue.  This new tissue includes new collagen, new fatty tissue (for smoothness), and new blood vessels (for a healthy glow).
