How Is Peyronies Disease Progressing?
Peyronies disease is a degenerative disease that manifests itself in two stages. Peyronie’s disease is in the Acute Phase from the start and for roughly a year, during which the plaque’s size and form continue to expand.
Because of these continual changes, symptoms will develop over time, sometimes visibly and sometimes not. For the majority of people, the symptoms worsen. However, for a tiny percentage of people, they may improve and the plaque may even dissolve on its own. This occurs in approximately 13% of patients. Several therapeutic approaches are available during the acute period, with the primary goal of alleviating disease symptoms and, to some extent, preventing disease development.
One year after the disease’s onset, the plaque and symptoms have stabilised, and all treatment options, including surgery, can be examined. The majority of people are no longer in pain at this point.
