The 8 Point Face Lift is a treatment designed according to your needs and facial symmetry following a facial consultation & skin analysis by Dr Shirin Lakhani. It is mainly focused on the mid-facial region to lift the area under the eyes as well as the jowls and curves of the mouth. The treatment can open up the eyes by focusing on the cheeks and the temples regions, resulting a natural shape. It can also smooth out bumps on the nose and the chin and jaw-line can be softened and rounded.

The effects of the 8 point facelift are immediate. If Ellanse is used, then the results will continue to improve over 3 months.

We use a combination of products, which depend up on each individual. Ellanse and Juvederm products are most commonly used by Dr Shirin as they have great results and have proven to be safe. These products contain primarily hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring component in your skin, so unlikely to cause a reaction.

A younger, fresher look is achieved by using advanced dermal fillers which are precisely placed to lift and contour specific facial areas. The most commonly used fillers used are Emervel, Ellanse and Juvederm. Treatment results can last between 1 and 2 years and is unique to each person.

The 8 precise injection areas are described as follows:

• The first pointis the junction between the cheek and the temple. It is a very specific point and treated with placement of filler onto the zygomatic bone, usually 0.1-0.2mL.
• Point number twois a beautification point, positioned over the anterior aspect of the zygomatic bone. Dr Shirin would use a typically a further 0.1-0.2mL. This also helps to support and lift the mid face.
• Point number three is a point in the anterior malar area, within the cheek. This position helps to support the tear trough and can lift the nasolabial fold.
• Point number four, is the canine fossa to lift the rest of the nasolabial fold.
• Point number five is the oral commissure.
• Point number six is the pre-jowl sulcus. This delivers more support to the chin, and gives better definition.
• Point number seven varies between a male and a female. In a male, this is the definition of the mandibular angle, resulting in a square appearance to the jaw. In a woman, it may be desirable to give gentle jaw definition.
• Point 8, is a superficial zone. A subtle lift of the jowl can be achieved.

Dr Shirin begins the treatment by applying a topical numbing cream to the face, followed by a series of small injections. You can ask for a hand to hold if you are feeling nervous.

Using the latest high quality brands of fillers means that most of the time there are minimal or no after-effects. There will be a small amount of short term swelling and occasionally some bruising is possible. The pin marks where the injections are placed may visible and are easily disguised with makeup.
