PRP for Hair Treatment- The Secret To Achieving A Good Result, Plus Everything You Need To Know The Vampire PRP Hair Treatment

What is PRP for Hair Treatment?

PRP treatment that uses your own platelets from your blood to stimulate a healing response. PRP has been used for many years in medicine and sport to help with healing.

PRP contains special cells called Platelets and plasma, that can promote growth of the hair follicles by stimulating the cells in the micro-environment of the hair follicle and increase vascularity to hair root. The PRP stimulates inactive or newly implanted hair follicles into an active growth phase.

The PRP Process

  • Your blood is drawn from your arm and put into a centrifuge to concentrate your blood cells.
  • In about 8 to 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have been split into in three layers: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma.
  • The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
  • The platelet-rich plasma is needled in to the scalp to further enhance the results.
  • To help the skin settle, 15-30 minutes under a Dermalux Red LED lamp to help calm the skin.

Why Would You Want A PRP Treatment?

PRP for Hair – finding that as you age your hair starts to thin out? Concerned your hairline may continue to recede? Unsure of what treatment is best for you?

Hair loss is a common problem for both men and women. Around 1 in 5 women over the age of 25 are experiencing hair thinning or hair loss and the odds are much higher if you’re a man.

How Does the Treatment Work?

The PRP for hair treatment is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment. This means there’s no need for a general anaesthetic and no cutting, slicing, scarring or trauma to your face.

The microneedling device creates tiny puncture holes, pushing the regenerating platelet-rich plasma into the skin. Although this might sound unpleasant, the holes are so minuscule that it’s actually much more comfortable than you would expect.

Before the treatment, your aesthetician will apply a local anaesthetic cream to help numb your head and reduce any discomfort. Most people say that the procedure is a relatively painless experience, so it’s easy to see why it is such a popular treatment.

Is it Safe?

PRP treatments are safe, effective and have been used for medical purposes, such as healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints for many years.

Because the Vampire Hair Treatment uses only your own platelets, there’s no risk of allergies or adverse reactions. Some people experience some mild redness and swelling due to the tiny microneedles, but this resolves without intervention within 24-48 hours. You don’t need to rest following the treatment or take any time off work to recover.

There’s no general anaesthetic required so none of the risks associated with being put to sleep either. Making it much safer than a surgical hair transplant or some other hair treatments.

How Much Does It Cost?

The popularity of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments is increasing fast, and it’s easy to see why. Not only are they safe, painless and less traumatic to the body than surgical treatments, they’re low-cost too.

Here in the UK, a Vampire Hair Treatment starts from just £450 – making it an affordable anti-ageing treatment.

Lower cost procedures don’t just mean you can save money, but they make anti-ageing treatments available to more people, instead of just the rich and famous. Part of our mission here at Elite Aesthetics is to enable as many people as possible to get access to these treatments, boosting body confidence and helping them to feel more comfortable with their appearance

Considering Getting A Vampire Hair Treatment? There’s Some Things You Need To Know…

When completed by a skilled and trained aesthetician the Vampire Hair Treatment is a safe, effective and painless procedure. But here in the UK, aesthetic procedures are not very well regulated, meaning anyone can set up in business and provide aesthetic treatments.

It’s not just any PRP treatment, but a carefully crafted, tried and tested, patented procedure.

As stated on the official Vampire Hair website, only people listed on the members of the Vampire Hair Provider Group, know the trade secrets of the Vampire Hair® and can perform it to the highest standards.

Here at Elite Aesthetics, not only are we official providers of the Vampire Hair treatment, but our clinic is headed by Aesthetic Doctor, Dr Shirin Lakhani who has more than 20 years experience in the medical and aesthetics field.

So if you’re looking for a reputable and official provider for your Vampire Hair treatment, so you can be sure you’ll get professional treatment and effective results, then contact us today for a consultation.

What To Look For When Choosing a Clinic or Aesthetician

Unfortunately, the aesthetic industry is not nearly regulated enough. Clinics are required to be registered with the CQC if they wish to offer medical treatments. The doctor must be trained, qualified or insured to perform this type of treatment, however, there are clinics offering this treatment without the reassurance of CQC registration! Because of this it’s very important that you research and choose a doctor that you know to be qualified, skilled and safe.

So what should you look for in a clinic or doctor?

  • They Should Be Professionally Qualified – A professional aesthetic doctor will have undertaken training and gained qualifications for any treatments they offer. They’ll be happy to show you their certificates. Certificates should ideally be GMC accredited and your aesthetician CQC Registered.
  • They Should Be Experienced – Skill comes with experience and practice, so ideally if you want the best results, then you should choose a doctor who has been in business for several years.
  • They Should Be Insured – Professional aesthetic doctors understand the importance of insurance – to keep both you and their business safe. A reputable clinic will be happy to show you their insurance certificates – be VERY wary of anyone practising without insurance as it could mean the insurers won’t cover them!
  • They Should Offer Comprehensive Consultations – Before you undergo any treatment a good aesthetician will do a full consultation with you. During this consultation they’ll ask you what you’re looking to achieve, discuss the treatment options and tell you the full cost for your brow lift.
  • Must be registered with CQC – Elite Aesthetics registration can be found here: https://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-6256918673

Here at Elite Aesthetics, we pride ourselves on our professional, honest and safe approach to aesthetic treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whilst no guarantees can be made as to whether PRP will 100% work (just like any other medical procedure), at Elite Aesthetics we examine you scalp as well as take your full medical health history. With this information we are able to select the patients that are most likely to have a result.

Does PRP Hair Treatment Hurt?

PRP is an increasingly popular way to treat hair loss. It involves taking plasma from your blood and injecting it into your scalp to stimulate hair growth. The procedure is relatively painless and requires zero recovery time.

Does PRP Hair Treatment Have Side Effects?

Because PRP is derived from your own blood (“autologous” transplantation), there is NO chance of having an allergy or immune reaction. Indeed in the literature, side effects or complications of PRP injection are extremely rare.

Does PRP really thicken hair?

According to a study on PRP therapy published by the National Institutes of Health, PRP injections were able to increase hair density and create hair restoration satisfaction in over 70% of PRP therapy recipients.

How much is PRP for hair UK?

The cost of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) hair treatment in the UK can vary depending on factors such as the location of the clinic, the experience of the practitioner, and the number of sessions required. On average, a single PRP hair treatment session can cost between £200 to £600 in the UK

Hi, Alex here,Just had my Lichen treatment today with Dr Shirin,The whole team at elite are very friendly, comforting and understanding, and did everything they could to give me a wonderful and welcoming experience. They are all so kind, friendly and knowledgeable, world experts at what they do. I am lucky to have them near London. They are also super responsive on the phone and email, so I know they care about thier patients, and I'm very well taken care of, (as with other clinics I have been to, its often difficult to get them to respond to questions), but this clinic is the most responsive I have ever seen! This is a beautiful and wonderful place and I highly recommend it, and I will be recommending it to all my friends as well. They definitely deserve the super high reviews they are getting, so I'm happy to add another one! A Big thank you from me and my family for all you have done for us during this journey!

Yesterday I had a 'body sculpt' session, to help lymphatic drainage. I was zipped into a suit up to my waist. This massaged and lightly squeezed my feet, ankles, calves, thighs and abdomen. I was breathing oxygen rich air via nasal tubes. It was very relaxing and I slept really well last night. Thank you Elite Aesthetics.
