Does Morpheus8 Work? And All The Questions You Want Answered…
Are you looking for a treatment that provides overall skin rejuvenation for your face and body without resorting to invasive surgery?
Non-invasive treatments are growing in popularity due to the advancements in aesthetic procedures. As well as being relatively straightforward compared to surgical procedures, the results of non-surgical treatments tend to be more subtle than those of their surgical counterparts, making them great for those who want to keep people guessing.
Thanks in part to the many celebrity endorsements, Morpheus8 has become the latest must-have beauty treatment, but what exactly is all the fuss about, and does it work as well as other skin rejuvenation treatments available?
What Is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a groundbreaking, patented, non-invasive treatment designed to help with anti-ageing.
The Morpheus8 device combines skin microneedling technology with radiofrequency therapy to stimulate natural collagen production, reduce fat tissue, and help resurface your skin.
Results have been known to transform your face and body areas by creating a smoother, contoured, and youthful appearance.
During your treatment, ultra-thin needles that emit radiofrequency energy are gently stamped into your skin to create a controlled injury, which, in turn, prompts collagen and elastin production.
Collagen and elastin are the two key proteins responsible for keeping your skin firm, tight, and smooth. They both naturally occur in your body, but as you age, the production begins to slow down, and this is when you are more likely to show common signs of ageing.
The Morpehus8 treatment stimulates the production of new collagen for a smoother, firmer, and brighter appearance of the skin.
Increasing your collagen levels can also add plumpness as well as tighten and rejuvenate your skin.
This popular treatment can help to reduce many different skin concerns on both your face and body, including the abdomen, legs, buttocks, arms, hands, jowls, chest, and neck.
What To Expect
A handheld Morpheus8 device containing a collection of tightly packed micro-needles is gently yet firmly pressed into the skin to deliver pulses of radio frequency energy. Morpheus8 needles are not ‘derma-rolled’ across the skin; the needles are ‘stamped’ and held in place before being moved to the next bit of skin. This stamp method helps to stimulate collagen production and promote healthy new skin tissue growth beneath the surface.
This might sound uncomfortable, but before your treatment, local anaesthetic cream will be applied to cleansed skin about 30 to 45 minutes before the treatment starts. This will minimise any discomfort during your treatment, and you should be quite comfortable.
During the procedure, the device is pressed into the specified area of the skin, allowing microneedles to perforate the skin.
Once the microneedles are in place, they generate radiofrequency waves to penetrate deep into the dermal layer, creating a controlled injury, which, in turn, prompts collagen and elastin production.
The treatment usually takes between 20 -30 minutes but will depend on the number of areas that you want to treat.
What Is Morpheus8 Used To Treat?
This treatment can be used on the face, neck, and body to tighten and firm sagging and wrinkled skin and can be used for a number of common skin complaints, including:
- Face – sagging skin on the lower face, or “jowls” underneath the chin and jaw
- Jawline & Neck – reducing lines, wrinkles, and creases on the lower face and neck
- Body contouring, including tightening loose or lax skin anywhere on the body
- Melts fat by reducing excess adipose (fat) tissue
- Sun-damaged skin
- Helps to treat acne and any acne scarring, injury scars, or post-operative scars
- Hyperpigmentation or “age spots”
- Stretch marks
- Large pores
- A dull or uneven complexion
The resulting effect is plumper, firmer, tighter, and smoother skin.
Does Morpheus8 Work?
There is a high proven success rate, with many patients reporting significant improvements their skin health. Our patients report a healthy glow immediately after the first treatment, and from 3 months, they see visible results, including firmer skin, better skin tone, diminished wrinkles, and smoother skin.
Celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson, as well as beauty editors and influencers, have all been very vocal about how much they love this treatment, not least because it’s a non-invasive procedure that really works!
Other devices work similarly, like Potenza, Vivace, and EndyMed, but Morpheus8 is suggested to be more effective because it can penetrate the skin deeper than the others. It also has a unique “burst” mode, which is a series of multi-pulses delivered in millisecond-long intervals.
This unique Burst technology combined with its large applicator tip means that you can get a fast and effective option for contouring collagen and fat reduction in larger problem areas, too, such as your stomach, thighs, and love handles.
