NEW TREATMENT ALERT – LED LIGHT THERAPY
We are pleased to announce that we have just introduced a new treatment this January. The LED mask favoured by many an A-lister from Kourtney Kardashian to Jessica Alba and Jennifer Anniston, this treatment is otherwise known as LED light therapy. It only takes 20 minutes per weekly session and is great for all skin conditions as it can address a wide range of skin problems. The colour of the LED lights used (green, red or blue) will depend on what is your main skin concern is. A combination of frequencies can be applied for various skin irregularities. The treatment leaves the face fresh, revitalised and deeply hydrated, providing instant results after one treatment for a quick skin rejuvenation, so perfect especially if you have a special occasion. A course of weekly treatments is strongly recommended though as a preventative and re-energising regime, to keep your skin in the best possible condition.
Duration: 20 minutes
Single treatment: from £60
So here’s how it works:
The treatment: Green light
For: Pigmentation.
Benefits: Green light is great for redness, rosacea, dark circles, pigmentation, broken capillaries and sunspots. It also calms irritated or over-stimulated skin.
Try: This alongside micro skin needling (tiny needles that boost the skin’s ‘repair’ function). It’s a great way to help reduce sun damage, acne scaring, pigmentation and rosacea.
The treatment: Blue light
For: Acne/ Congested Skin
Benefits: If you suffer from acne or skin that is congested then Blue is the light for your skin type. The Blue light decongests your skin, balances oil production and eliminates acne vulgaris (the bacteria responsible for causing spots). It has anti-bacterial properties and helps to purify your skin. Blue light can be used on its own but if its combined with red and green lights has very specific wavelengths and when used together can combat acne bacteria and subsequently the skin will heal much better.
The treatment: Red light
For: Inflammation/ Stimulates Collagen
Benefits: LEDs emit lightwaves of different lengths. The longest (650-730 nanometers) are red and used for anti-ageing treatments due to their cell regenerating properties. The Red light lies next to infrared at the end of the visible part of the light spectrum, and its wavelengths disable inflammation triggers. Inflammation is linked to acne, pigmentation and rosacea, which is why this is such a great treatment. The main benefits with the red light is it stimulates collagen production, and also helps with healing as well as intercellular communication.
