Unlock the Secrets of PRP Hair Treatment: A Natural Solution for Thicker, Fuller Hair

Are you tired of dealing with thinning hair and a lack of volume? Look no further than PRP hair treatment, the natural solution that is revolutionizing the world of hair restoration. PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a cutting-edge procedure that uses your body’s own healing properties to stimulate hair growth. By harnessing the power of your own blood, PRP hair treatment can help you achieve thicker, fuller hair without the need for invasive surgeries or harsh chemicals. In this article, we will delve into the secrets of PRP hair treatment, exploring how it works, its benefits, and what you can expect from the process. Whether you’re a man or a woman, PRP hair treatment offers a safe and effective solution to combat hair loss and boost your confidence. Get ready to unlock the secrets of PRP and discover a natural path to thicker, healthier hair.

How does PRP hair treatment work?

PRP hair treatment is a non-surgical procedure that harnesses the power of your body’s own platelets to stimulate hair growth. The process begins with a simple blood draw, similar to a routine blood test. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge, a machine that spins the blood at high speeds to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood components. Once the platelet-rich plasma is obtained, it is carefully injected into the areas of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is occurring.

Platelets are rich in growth factors and other bioactive proteins that play a crucial role in the body’s healing process. When injected into the scalp, these growth factors stimulate the hair follicles, promoting new hair growth and improving the overall quality of existing hair. The procedure is minimally invasive and virtually painless, with little to no downtime required.

PRP hair treatment is a natural and safe solution for hair loss, as it uses your body’s own healing properties. Unlike surgical hair restoration procedures, PRP hair treatment does not involve incisions or the use of synthetic materials. This makes it an attractive option for those who prefer a more holistic approach to hair restoration.

Benefits of PRP hair treatment

PRP hair treatment offers a range of benefits for individuals struggling with hair loss or thinning hair. One of the primary advantages of PRP hair treatment is its natural and non-invasive nature. Since the procedure uses your body’s own blood, there is no risk of allergic reactions or rejection. This makes it suitable for individuals who may have sensitivities or allergies to other hair loss treatments.

Another benefit of PRP hair treatment is its versatility. It can be used to treat various types of hair loss, including androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern baldness), traction alopecia, and alopecia areata. PRP hair treatment can also be used in conjunction with other hair restoration techniques, such as hair transplant surgery, to enhance results and promote faster healing.

In addition to stimulating hair growth, PRP hair treatment can also improve the overall health and condition of the scalp and existing hair. The growth factors present in platelet-rich plasma can strengthen hair follicles, reduce inflammation, and increase blood flow to the scalp, resulting in healthier, shinier hair.

Who is a good candidate for PRP hair treatment?

PRP hair treatment is suitable for both men and women experiencing hair loss or thinning hair. It is particularly effective for individuals in the early stages of hair loss or those with mild to moderate hair thinning. However, it may not be as effective for individuals with advanced hair loss or those who have been completely bald for an extended period.

It’s important to note that PRP hair treatment is not a one-size-fits-all solution. The success of the treatment depends on various factors, including the individual’s overall health, the underlying cause of hair loss, and the extent of hair loss. A thorough consultation with a reputable PRP hair treatment provider is essential to determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure.

The process of PRP hair treatment

The process of PRP hair treatment typically begins with a consultation with a qualified and experienced provider. During this consultation, the provider will evaluate your hair loss, discuss your goals and expectations, and determine if PRP hair treatment is the right option for you. They will also explain the procedure in detail and answer any questions or concerns you may have.

On the day of the treatment, a small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. The blood will then be processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the rest of the blood components. Once the platelet-rich plasma is obtained, it will be carefully injected into the areas of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is occurring.

The injections are performed using a fine needle, and a numbing cream may be applied to the scalp to minimize any discomfort. The entire procedure typically takes around 60-90 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

  • Your blood is drawn from your arm and put into a centrifuge to concentrate your blood cells.
  • In about 8 to 10 minutes in the centrifuge, your blood will have been split into in three layers: red blood cells, platelet-poor plasma, platelet-rich plasma.
  • The platelet-rich plasma is drawn up into a syringe and then injected into areas of the scalp that need increased hair growth.
  • The platelet-rich plasma is needled in to the scalp to further enhance the results.
  • To help the skin settle, 15-30 minutes under a Dermalux Red LED lamp to help calm the skin.

Recovery and aftercare for PRP hair treatment

One of the advantages of PRP hair treatment is that there is little to no downtime involved. Most individuals can resume their regular activities immediately following the procedure. However, it’s important to follow any specific instructions provided by your provider to ensure optimal results.

You may experience some mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites, but these side effects are usually temporary and subside within a few hours to a few days. Your provider may recommend avoiding vigorous exercise, saunas, or hot showers for a day or two following the treatment to allow the scalp to heal.

It’s important to be patient after PRP hair treatment, as results are not immediate. It can take several weeks to months for new hair growth to become visible. Your provider will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

PRP hair treatment vs. other hair loss treatments

PRP hair treatment offers several advantages over other hair loss treatments. Unlike medications such as minoxidil or finasteride, which require long-term use and may have side effects, PRP hair treatment is a natural and safe solution. It does not involve the use of synthetic drugs or chemicals that could potentially harm your health.

Surgical hair restoration procedures, such as hair transplant surgery, can be effective for individuals with advanced hair loss. However, they are invasive, require significant downtime, and may leave visible scars. PRP hair treatment, on the other hand, is a minimally invasive procedure with little to no downtime and no visible scarring.

Another advantage of PRP hair treatment is its ability to improve the overall health and condition of the scalp and existing hair. Unlike other treatments that solely focus on promoting hair growth, PRP hair treatment nourishes the scalp and strengthens existing hair follicles, resulting in healthier, more resilient hair.

Potential side effects and risks of PRP hair treatment

PRP hair treatment is generally considered safe and well-tolerated. Since the procedure uses your body’s own blood, there is no risk of allergic reactions or rejection. However, as with any medical procedure, there are potential side effects and risks to be aware of.

The most common side effects of PRP hair treatment include mild redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites. These side effects usually subside within a few hours to a few days. In rare cases, more serious side effects such as infection, scarring, or changes in hair texture may occur. It’s important to choose a reputable and experienced provider to minimize the risk of complications.

Success stories and testimonials

Many individuals have experienced positive results with PRP hair treatment, achieving thicker, fuller hair and increased confidence. Success stories and testimonials from satisfied patients can be found online and in various forums and communities dedicated to hair restoration. These first hand accounts can provide valuable insights and help you make an informed decision about PRP hair treatment.

When considering PRP hair treatment, it’s crucial to find a reputable and experienced provider. Here are a few tips to help you find the right provider for your needs:

  1. Research online: Look for providers in your area who specialize in PRP hair treatment. Read reviews and testimonials from previous patients to gauge their reputation and the quality of their services.
  2. Credentials and experience: Ensure that the provider is qualified and experienced in performing PRP hair treatment. Look for certifications, training, and years of experience in the field.
  3. Consultation: Schedule a consultation with the provider to discuss your goals, ask questions, and assess their expertise and professionalism. During the consultation, the provider should be able to evaluate your hair loss and provide personalized recommendations.
  4. Before and after photos: Ask to see before and after photos of previous patients who have undergone PRP hair treatment. This will give you an idea of the provider’s capabilities and the potential results you can expect.
  5. Cost and financing options: Enquire about the cost of PRP hair treatment and any financing options that may be available. It’s important to consider both the financial aspect and the quality of the treatment when making a decision.

Why Would You Want A PRP Treatment?

PRP for Hair – finding that as you age your hair starts to thin out? Concerned your hairline may continue to recede? Unsure of what treatment is best for you?

Hair loss is a common problem for both men and women. Around 1 in 5 women over the age of 25 are experiencing hair thinning or hair loss and the odds are much higher if you’re a man.

How Does the Treatment Work?

The PRP for hair treatment is a non-surgical and minimally invasive treatment. This means there’s no need for a general anaesthetic and no cutting, slicing, scarring or trauma to your face.

The microneedling device creates tiny puncture holes, pushing the regenerating platelet-rich plasma into the skin. Although this might sound unpleasant, the holes are so minuscule that it’s actually much more comfortable than you would expect.

Before the treatment, your aesthetician will apply a local anaesthetic cream to help numb your head and reduce any discomfort. Most people say that the procedure is a relatively painless experience, so it’s easy to see why it is such a popular treatment.

Is it Safe?

PRP treatments are safe, effective and have been used for medical purposes, such as healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints for many years.

Because the Vampire Hair Treatment uses only your own platelets, there’s no risk of allergies or adverse reactions. Some people experience some mild redness and swelling due to the tiny microneedles, but this resolves without intervention within 24-48 hours. You don’t need to rest following the treatment or take any time off work to recover.

There’s no general anaesthetic required so none of the risks associated with being put to sleep either. Making it much safer than a surgical hair transplant or some other hair treatments.

How Much Does It Cost?

The popularity of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments is increasing fast, and it’s easy to see why. Not only are they safe, painless and less traumatic to the body than surgical treatments, they’re low-cost too.

Here in the UK, a Vampire Hair Treatment starts from just £450 – making it an affordable anti-ageing treatment.

Lower cost procedures don’t just mean you can save money, but they make anti-ageing treatments available to more people, instead of just the rich and famous. Part of our mission here at Elite Aesthetics is to enable as many people as possible to get access to these treatments, boosting body confidence and helping them to feel more comfortable with their appearance

Considering Getting A Vampire Hair Treatment? There’s Some Things You Need To Know…

When completed by a skilled and trained aesthetician the Vampire Hair Treatment is a safe, effective and painless procedure. But here in the UK, aesthetic procedures are not very well regulated, meaning anyone can set up in business and provide aesthetic treatments.

It’s not just any PRP treatment, but a carefully crafted, tried and tested, patented procedure.

As stated on the official Vampire Hair website, only people listed on the members of the Vampire Hair Provider Group, know the trade secrets of the Vampire Hair® and can perform it to the highest standards.

Here at Elite Aesthetics, not only are we official providers of the Vampire Hair treatment, but our clinic is headed by Aesthetic Doctor, Dr Shirin Lakhani who has more than 20 years experience in the medical and aesthetics field.

So if you’re looking for a reputable and official provider for your Vampire Hair treatment, so you can be sure you’ll get professional treatment and effective results, then contact us today for a consultation.

What To Look For When Choosing a Clinic or Aesthetician

Unfortunately, the aesthetic industry is not nearly regulated enough. Clinics are required to be registered with the CQC if they wish to offer medical treatments. The doctor must be trained, qualified or insured to perform this type of treatment, however, there are clinics offering this treatment without the reassurance of CQC registration! Because of this it’s very important that you research and choose a doctor that you know to be qualified, skilled and safe.

So what should you look for in a clinic or doctor?

  • They Should Be Professionally Qualified – A professional aesthetic doctor will have undertaken training and gained qualifications for any treatments they offer. They’ll be happy to show you their certificates. Certificates should ideally be GMC accredited and your aesthetician CQC Registered.
  • They Should Be Experienced – Skill comes with experience and practice, so ideally if you want the best results, then you should choose a doctor who has been in business for several years.
  • They Should Be Insured – Professional aesthetic doctors understand the importance of insurance – to keep both you and their business safe. A reputable clinic will be happy to show you their insurance certificates – be wary of anyone practising without insurance as it could mean the insurers won’t cover them!
  • They Should Offer Comprehensive Consultations – Before you undergo any treatment a good aesthetician will do a full consultation with you. During this consultation they’ll ask you what you’re looking to achieve, discuss the treatment options and tell you the full cost for your brow lift.
  • Must be registered with CQC – Elite Aesthetics registration can be found here: https://www.cqc.org.uk/location/1-6256918673

Frequently Asked Questions

Whilst no guarantees can be made as to whether PRP will 100% work (just like any other medical procedure), at Elite Aesthetics we examine you scalp as well as take your full medical health history. With this information we are able to select the patients that are most likely to have a result.

Does PRP Hair Treatment Hurt?

PRP is an increasingly popular way to treat hair loss. It involves taking plasma from your blood and injecting it into your scalp to stimulate hair growth. The procedure is relatively painless and requires zero recovery time.

Does PRP Hair Treatment Have Side Effects?

Because PRP is derived from your own blood (“autologous” transplantation), there is NO chance of having an allergy or immune reaction. Indeed in the literature, side effects or complications of PRP injection are extremely rare.

They are all so kind, friendly and knowledgeable, world experts at what they do. I am lucky to have them near London. They are also super responsive on the phone and email, so I know they care about thier patients, and I'm very well taken care of, (as with other clinics I have been to, its often difficult to get them to respond to questions), but this clinic is the most responsive I have ever seen! This is a beautiful and wonderful place and I highly recommend it, and I will be recommending it to all my friends as well. Yesterday I had a 'body sculpt' session, to help lymphatic drainage. I was zipped into a suit up to my waist. This massaged and lightly squeezed my feet, ankles, calves, thighs and abdomen. I was breathing oxygen rich air via nasal tubes. It was very relaxing and I slept really well last night. Thank you Elite Aesthetics.
