Naomi Isted gets LFW ready with Dr Shirin
Would you try a puppet face lift?
Earning its nickname from the use of strings, or threads, to lift and add volume to the cheeks and lower face, the puppet facelift is proving popular with women in their 30s seeking to reduce the first signs of ageing, helping women to beat wrinkles without having to go under the knife.
Fashion influencer and television presenter, Naomi Isted visited our clinic to undergo the treatment.
The treatment takes around an hour and involves ‘strings’ being threaded through the face, under the skin to lift the muscles on the face.
‘The Silhouette Soft thread Lift, commonly known as the puppet facelift, is a safe, convenient alternative to traditional facelift surgery in selected patients with early signs of facial laxity,’ says Dr Shirin.
‘Our late 30s represent a transitional time as we start to show the first true signs of ageing, particularly around the jawline and the cheeks.
‘A non-surgical facelift such as the Silhouette-Soft™ can subtly improve the appearance of skin laxity, giving patients like Naomi a natural look rather than the ‘wind tunnel’ look which is often associated with surgical facelifts.’
What is the ‘Puppet facelift’?
- Silhouette-Soft™ or Puppet facelift is a safe, convenient alternative to traditional facelift surgery. Designed to be less invasive, it can reduce sagging around the cheeks, jawline, and neck more quickly and with less risk than the conventional approach.
- Special threads are used during this facelift to discreetly hold repositioned skin and facial tissue in place after the procedure. And while Silhouette Soft/Puppet facelift generally produce noticeable results almost immediately and with less risk and inconvenience than more intensive procedures, the costs of this treatment are quite reasonable compared to traditional options.
- A Silhouette-Soft™ or Puppet facelift is designed for people experiencing early signs of ageing, such as minor facial sagging. This innovative facelift procedure can be performed in just one hour, with only local anaesthetics.
Dr Shirin gently inserts threads into the face. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face. Almost immediately, Naomi noticed a difference in the skin.
Dr Shirin then completed the look with fillers to balance her face, reshape her chin and add volume to her lips bringing the total cost of the procedure to £2000.
‘We work hard to obtain natural results which give her a radiant complexion and a youthful appearance,’ says Dr Shirin. ‘By using a thread lift we were able to gently lift Naomi’s face and prevent one of the key signs of ageing.
‘Filler balances her face and restores proportion to maintain a youthful plumpness.
‘By continually using minimally invasive treatments Naomi has been able to continue to be ready for key events in her schedule such as the NTA’s and London Fashion Week.’
A non-surgical alternative to consider is the Facial using HiFU.
