The main advantage of PDO threads is that they’re the only type of thread lift that can be used in every age group and Polydioxanone (PDO) thread lifts are the most common type of thread lift procedure.

Why? The reason for this is that they use a polyester suture that dissolves in your body after about 6 months; hence they are the most commonly used type of thread lift for all men and women looking for a non-scarring, invisible facelift.

Facelifts without a scalpel;  this doctor-led treatment is a cosmetic surgery technique that is very popular for smoothing and lifting the folds of the face and neck. Using copious fine sutures – threads – our highly qualified private doctors lift the tissues beneath of the skin by applying tension thereby plumping up the skin itself. Additionally, the polydioxanone threads can also be used to lift and tighten skin on the face, neck, chest, abdomen, arms, legs, and feet.

PDO Threading – How long will it take? How much does it hurt?

A PDO thread lift is a revolutionary new treatment in the world of aesthetics, but PDO threads themselves have been safely used for several applications for decades, such as in the treatment of gynaecological diseases or when sewing incisions after medical procedures. The upper third of the face, which includes the forehead and eyebrows, loses structural support and falls down.

They also trigger an increase in collagen in the region, which supports newly tightened skin and promotes elasticity for a naturally smoothed, toned appearance. You are a particularly good candidate for this treatment if you want an immediate facelift but don’t have the time or finances to commit to a traditional facelift.

A PDO (poly-dioxanone) thread lift is a non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens sagging skin and tissue with a thin, formed suture or thin thread. Dermal fillers work very much like PDO threadlifts because they stimulate your body’s natural collagen production process. Depending on which area you want to work on, your doctor will use these threads or sutures in that area to lift and tighten your skin without surgery and with dissolvable sutures that completely absorb within 6 months.

A Facelift In A Lunch Hour – 60 Minute Treatment Time (on average)

You can expect sameday results and safely return to work, that’s why it’s an excellent alternative for people who aren’t ready for a facelift yet or might not want to get dermal fillers. The PDO thread lift is a fast, low-risk process that takes less than an hour – referred to as a “lunchtime facelift”.

The average recovery time after a PDO threadlift procedure is 24 hours of rest, followed by light activity. As such, it pulls and tightens your skin throughout this entire time. After that, the skin stays in place and collagen continues to be produced.

Thread Lift Costs, Procedure, Benefits, and Side Effects

The cost of a PDO thread lift will be in the region of £1,300, your private consultation is £100 and that fee is refundable when you book the procedure with Elite Aesthetics. All doctors at our private clinic are time services experts in these type of thread lift facial rejuvenation; between them they have carried our well over 1000 thread lifts and trained hundreds of doctors globally exactly how to perform the treatment at each stage of your transformation.

If you have excess skin on your face, thread lift can help to remove the excess skin and tighten your skin to make it appear more natural. In addition, thread lift can also help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. This is done by tightening the skin that has wrinkles. The suture thread can also help to reduce fine lines. Thread lift is also used to reduce the appearance of folds of the skin, such as the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines.

Threadlifts were originally designed to address skin that had been weakened or lost elasticity following trauma or surgery such as a facelift. The treatment is also intended for patients who have deep facial expression lines and sagging jowls.

What makes PDO threads different?

Have you ever heard about a PDO thread lift and want to know about the specific aesthetic benefits? Maybe you’ve read about this online, or seen videos or photographs of ‘Before and After’ on the internet? Be assured, this is a procedure that is performed by one of our hand-picked doctors to help improve the appearance of your facial skin. As with many surgery procedures, thread lift is designed to tighten the skin on your face. All threading procedures involves using many, tiny, semi-permanent, absorbable stitches through your facial skin. It is used to tighten your facial skin and lift your facial skin. PDO threads are made of a biodegradable polyester. This means they dissolve after a few weeks and don’t leave any noticeable scars. PDO threads are safe to use on all skin types and can be used on people of any ages and sex.

Dermal Fillers or Facial Threading and Natural Collagen Production

The polydioxanone thread lift is a non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens sagging skin and tissue with a thin, formed suture or thin thread. PDO threads tighten and lift your skin while also giving it a smoother, more youthful appearance and completely dissolve after a few weeks hence they don’t leave any scarring.

Dermal fillers work very much like PDO threadlifts because they stimulate your body’s natural collagen production process. Depending on which area you want to work on, our wonderful doctors meticulously sew delicate sutures in your areas to lift and tighten your skin without surgery.

They also trigger an increase in collagen in the region, which supports newly tightened skin and promotes elasticity for a naturally smoothed, toned appearance. You are a particularly good candidate for this treatment if you want an immediate facelift but don’t have the time or finances to commit to a traditional facelift.

All patients at Elite Aesthetics have a scheduled follow-up appointment 1-3 months after treatment so that we can assess the progress of the threads and you can see the photos of your baseline compared to where you are right now. The cost of a PDO thread lift varies from patient to patient, depending on a number of factors, like the number of threads used, where the thread is inserted and what the doctor’s fee is. However, the average cost is between £1200 and £2500.

Bags Under The Eyes and Sagging Facial Skin Solved In Sixty Minutes

Now that you know what PDO threads can do, let’s talk about why you should try this treatment. Some results of the treatment, such as skin tightening and some of the contouring effects, are visible immediately after the treatment. Mid-face volumization Eyebrow lift with PDO threads is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses PDO threads to lift and tighten the eyebrows and facial part above the eyes to remove wrinkles and brow lines and correct sagging or drooping eyebrows.

The PDO thread lift is the perfect option for patients who want to treat the visible signs of aging near the eye (sagging skin) as well as the underlying cause (the decline of collagen and elasticity that occur over time) to maintain a youthful appearance while maintaining the skin rejuvenate. Your facial tissue starts to hang and you may notice your eyebrows falling down and losing their natural arc.

How Does The Procedure Start? Will I Feel Pain?

To make the procedure as comfortable as possible, a local anesthetic is injected. Mild pain and swelling sometimes occur for a few days after this procedure, but they can usually be treated with over-the-counter pain relievers. A mist spray is a great way to moisturize your skin after treatment, especially after threads if your skin is very sensitive to touch.

You should avoid rubbing your face as hard as possible during the week after the procedure to avoid accidentally breaking a thread.

Polylactic acid, which is included in the composition of the threads, activates the production of collagen and thus provides an additional rejuvenating effect, while slowing down the aging process until its complete absorption. To avoid age-related changes and to correct and model aesthetic disadvantages, APTOS offers a wide range of absorbable and non-absorbable threads.

Let’s take a look at what makes a PDO thread lift different from other thread lifts and what you can expect during the procedure. You can expect an immediate lift of the treated area, but it will always relax a bit once the initial swelling has calmed down.. They’re best for rejuvenating your skin, while some newer types of threadlifts can lift sagging skin better.

Other types of threads – the MINT thread lift

It is an excellent choice for those who just want to lift their skin and don’t want to get too much volume, like fillers. MINT threads are manufactured at Hans Biomed’s research facility in South Korea and delivered all over the world. A mint PDO thread lift is a procedure that subtly lifts your facial features to reduce the signs of aging.

Mint PDO is a safe, effective, biocompatible and soluble suture consisting of “polydioxanone”, a complex sugar that is often used in orthopaedic and cardiovascular operations to suture wounds and incisions. As thread lifts are a minimally invasive procedure — and an alternative to face lift surgery — that doesn’t require general anesthesia, doesn’t require large cuts, and doesn’t cause significant downtime or pain after the procedure. When these barbed threads are inserted, the barbs open up like an umbrella, creating a support structure that lifts and repositions the sagging tissue.

Although procedures with PDO threads can seem simple, they require advanced skills to use them effectively and safely. The mint PDO threads have been developed to perform a non-surgical facelift most effectively by lifting sagging skin.

The threads integrate into the skin tissue and are inserted and pulled into the skin via a cannula to achieve a lifting effect. STEM threads (minimally invasive non-surgical thread) with their stronger lifting power compared to other PDO threads are the material of choice. The type of threads, thread design, technique, and doctor’s experience play an important role in your results. Knowing how to use them correctly and effectively requires proper and continuous training, skills and knowledge.

Do remember there are other types of thread lifts that are available, including one made from a combination of silk and collagen. The two main types of threads that use polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCA) break down in your body after about 1 year and 3 years respectively. PLA and PCA threads can take up to 2 years to dissolve and may be used in different areas of the body, or for use in surgery reconstruction following a medical trauma, plus many of other uses.

Potential PDO thread lift complications

Thread lifts are a relatively safe procedure that’s usually performed under local anaesthesia. You’ll be given a sedative to relax your muscles before the procedure and a topical anaesthetic to numb your skin. A PDO thread lift can cause a burning sensation when the suture is first applied. This is normal and it will go away after about 15 minutes. There’s a small risk of infection if you don’t keep your incision clean. You’ll also need to take care of your stitches after the procedure. You should avoid using tweezers to pull on the sutures and avoid applying pressure to the wound. If you have bleeding, swelling, or redness, you should contact us. Other potential complications include pain, inflammation, and redness.

How long does a thread lift last and can I have dermal fillers too?

The results of a PDO thread lift can last anywhere from 6 months to 3 years. Results vary depending on your skin type, and how many thread lifts you’ve had in the past. Your skin can start showing signs of improvement as soon as a week after the procedure and you’ll start to see your results in about 3 months.

PDO Threading Kent London Non Surgical Thread Lift Facelifts UK Private Clinic Maidstone Darthmouth Elite AestheticsIf you’re more worried about static lines and wrinkles, dermal fillers are the perfect match for your PDO thread lift. The actual thread itself will be around for 4-6 months before being absorbed by the natural hydrolysis process. Every patient is different, but thread lift results can last up to 18 months, and you can schedule a follow-up treatment when the results wear off.

Once injected under the skin’s surface, they stimulate collagen production and lift the skin over time. That’s why it’s an excellent alternative for people who aren’t ready for a facelift yet or might not want to get dermal fillers. The PDO thread lift is a fast, low-risk process that takes less than an hour. Therefore, it is often referred to as a “lunchtime facelift”. As such, it pulls and tightens your skin throughout this entire time. After that, the skin stays in place and collagen continues to be produced.

During the two to six months following your appointment, your results will be further enhanced as collagen production increases.. The best treatments to complement your PDO thread lift depend on the results you want to achieve. During this time, the skin in your treatment area gets a smoother, fresher and more youthful appearance

It sounds almost too good to be true, but simple, minimally invasive treatment now makes it possible to tighten the skin and achieve great results. PDO threads are better able to reposition and revitalize tissue, while PLA and PCA threads can better lift sagging skin areas.

There is no right age to plan a PDO thread lift. If you notice signs of aging on your face or body and want to treat them as soon as possible, you can undergo this treatment and stay one step ahead of the aging process.

Threading Procedure – Same Day Non Surgical Facelifts

You’ll be asked to remove your makeup before the procedure and a topical anaesthetic will be applied. You’ll lie down on a comfortable couch and be given a local anaesthetic. A small incision is made in your skin and the suture is inserted. A suture retriever is used to pull the suture out of the incision and the suture is pulled out through the incision. The suture is then removed and the incision is closed with a stitch. You can go home the same day. You’ll be given instructions on how to care for your wound.

PDO thread lifts are performed by injecting dissolvable sutures into your skin using a tiny needle. They’re the least invasive type of thread lift and are generally performed in under 45 minutes. Your doctor may perform one or more passes over the same area depending on how severe your skin sagging is.

The procedure usually takes less than 60 minutes and are relatively quick and easy to perform. Your doctor will insert the PDO threads in small increments.

How long should I wait before wearing makeup?

Weddings, parties, birthday celebrations and events should be booked at least two weeks in advance as you should wait at least one week before you reapply makeup again. Your skin will need time to recover and heal before you put any pressure on it. Remember to also avoid hot showers or steamy baths until your skin is fully healed, it’s essential to use daily and overnight moisturiser to keep your skin well hydrated while you’re healing.

PDO Thread Lift Recovery and Aftercare

Once you’re home, you’ll likely be given a topical anaesthetic cream to help numb the area. You may also be given an anti-inflammatory cream to help reduce swelling. Your surgeon will probably also recommend taking over-the-counter painkillers. If you’re allergic to any medications, your doctor will likely provide you with a list of alternative.

Does Any Aesthetic Treatment Stop The Aging Process?

Skin thickening can be done on most areas of the face where thin skin shows up, such as in the middle of the cheek, jaw, and forehead. 30s is a good time to consider thread support because you can get away with less treatment and the duration of results is longer because of the collagen that is still available in the skin compared to someone say in their sixties. Dermal Filler Treatment

We’ll also review your medical history to ensure that a lift is a safe and appropriate option if necessary. A good thread face lift works wonders for your facial image and inner confidence, but it must be done by a doctor in a safe and clinical environment.

PDO threads won’t stop the aging process, but they improve facial features and help tighten and tone your skin as well as reduce certain lines and wrinkles. This won’t stop the aging process – realistically, the procedure was developed to bridge the gap between a non-invasive facial rejuvenation and a facelift. It is a favourite non-invasive procedure that involves inserting temporary sutures with a special needle, creating a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. As with any non-surgical treatment that requires the use of needles to inject substances into the deeper layers of the skin, you may experience slight discomfort, pulling and tightening sensations during this surgical procedure. More advanced techniques and modern products such as MINT PDO Threads have ensured consistently good results. The good news is that threadlifts can provide longer-term results depending on your skin’s age and response to treatment.

Had a consultation with Elite yesterday, I must say I was a bit nervous, but Dr Shirin was so friendly and helpful.
I was given lots of advice and was given treatment options that were within my budget.
A few weeks after the P Shot I've really started to see a difference and have gained my confidence back.

Thank You!

Elite is an outstanding professional clinic with high standard treatments. All the staff members are friendly and offer you honest opinions when it comes to products and treatments. This is a welcoming clinic that I can 100% recommend. Treatments are spoken through and explained in detail, also aftercare. I have been going nearly a year now and am happy with all the treatments I’ve had, wouldn't go anywhere else. The Bocox treatment started to work within a few days, which I was surprised about. So glad I went to Elite for treatment.

HV

Thank you Dr Shirin, the O Shot has really helped me with my Lichen Sclerosus. I'd heard about the treatment on the LS Facebook Groups and message a few people that had treatment with Dr Shirin. I was like many in the group who had run out of treatment options and using creams on a daily basis. I have to say a few months after treatment, I can see a real positive change and I'm hoping my LS will continue to improve. Dr Shirin did say that I might have to have a second treatment given how severe my case is.

Yesterday I had a 'body sculpt' session, to help lymphatic drainage. I was zipped into a suit up to my waist. This massaged and lightly squeezed my feet, ankles, calves, thighs and abdomen. I was breathing oxygen rich air via nasal tubes. It was very relaxing and I slept really well last night. Thank you Elite Aesthetics.
