The O Shot vs G Shot – What’s The Difference?

O Shot Vs G Shot

The O Shot vs G Shot: If you’re considering an intimate health treatment you’re probably wondering what the differences are between the O Shot and the G Shot? Each treatment can help to achieve different outcomes and solve a variety of sexual health problems. So in this blog, we’re going to look in detail at the O Shot vs G Shot, exploring each procedure and what the key differences are.

What is The O Shot?

First up in our O shot vs G Shot comparison is the O Shot Injection, or Orgasm Shot, as it is sometimes known. This is a non-surgical procedure that can resolve many of the intimate issues that women experience with their vulva and vagina, and enhance sexual experience. Those women that have had the treatment say that their orgasms become stronger, longer-lasting and more frequent.

As the name suggests, the O-Shot is a ‘shot’ or injection that is administered near to your clitoris and into your vaginal wall. While it sounds rather uncomfortable, you will be given an anaesthetic to numb the area beforehand, so you won’t feel a thing.

The substance that is injected is called PRP – platelet-rich plasma – which is a solution derived from your own blood. At your appointment, a small amount of your blood will be taken, much like at a blood test. This is then spun very quickly, which has the effect of separating the elements contained within your blood. It’s the platelet-rich plasma that is most important; it contains incredible growth factors that help to regenerate the areas it is introduced to.

PRP has been used by athletes to help heal injuries, by doctors for bone graft treatment, as well as by aestheticians for a huge array of regenerative cosmetic solutions.

When injected into your vagina and clitoris, the PRP will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This will help to increase sensitivity in the area, tighten vaginal laxity and even decrease the symptoms of stress incontinence.

What Can The O Shot Help With?

Female Sexual Dysfunction (FSD)

For a long time, sexual dysfunction in women wasn’t addressed. Whether that is because the female sexual pleasure was more taboo, or because women themselves felt embarrassed or ashamed is undecided – but over the last decade, there’s been a revolution. Now there are studies and developments being made to help and support women who are suffering from problems with their sex life.

So, what is considered female sexual dysfunction? The condition is characterised by a number of symptoms, although you may not experience all of them. They are;

  • Low Libido

A reduced sex drive or lack of desire is one of the most commonly reported issues. Sexual desire is complex, and for women, childbirth and menopause can play a big role in a change in your sexual appetite. While these events may have an impact, it shouldn’t be longstanding. If you feel that your sexual interest isn’t returning to a level you’d like, then you may have sexual dysfunction.

  • Arousal Disorder

You may still want to have sex, but find it difficult to feel aroused or maintain your arousal. While it’s totally normal to have fluctuations in your arousal state, you may feel that what you are experiencing is prolonged or different from other times.

  • Pain During Sex

One study in the US suggested that as many as 75% of women will have experienced pain during sex at some stage. For some, that pain will have a simple reason and resolution, such as a change in condom brand or position, but for others, it’s tougher to pinpoint what the cause is.

  • Trouble Climaxing

Orgasm problems are also very common. Some women have never had an orgasm, while other women find that they used to climax but now find they can’t. There can be a variety of causes, some are physical like illness, surgery or medication use and some are emotional or psychological, like stress, relationship dilemmas, or your feelings about yourself.

The O-Shot has been known to help overcome the above issues, helping women to enjoy their sex lives once again.

Now, not all women who opt to have the O Shot suffer from sexual dysfunction. Some women are just keen to see how the treatment can enhance their orgasms – and that’s what the treatment is renowned for. In fact, it’s on this subject that there really is a debate over the O Shot vs G Shot!

Stress Incontinence

Stress incontinence is when you cough, jump, run or laugh. The pressure exerted on your bladder during physical movement causes urine to leak out. It’s a very common problem for women, especially after pregnancy and menopause.

The O Shot can rejuvenate your vaginal walls, offering better support for your bladder and reducing the symptoms of stress incontinence.

Vaginal Dryness

The O Shot has shown remarkable success in treating vaginal dryness. The PRP stimulates new collagen which helps with lubrication.

The treatment of sexual disorders and conditions is key in the difference between the O Shot vs G Shot.

O Shot Vs G Shot

What Is The G Shot?

Now for the G Shot in our O Shot vs G Shot discussion. Unlike the O Shot, which has a range of medical uses, the G Shot is purely focused on giving you the most sensation possible during sex. In this treatment, hyaluronic acid, which is the same solution used in lip fillers, is injected into your most erogenous area.

The G Shot works by enhancing the G-spot (it’s called the G-spot because it’s named after the doctor who first identified the area). The filler gently increases the size and sensitivity, making it much more receptive to sensation.

The G Shot lasts for around 3 – 4 months and can be repeated as is needed. The G Shot can’t help with sexual dysfunction, so if that is something you are dealing with, you should discuss alternative solutions with Dr Shirin during your consultation.

O Shot Vs G Shot

So, O-Shot Vs G-Shot?

Hopefully after reading this O Shot vs G Shot blog, you have a better idea of not only what each treatment is, but how it can help you.

If you are looking for a treatment to help with a sexual problem you’re facing, the O Shot vs G Shot is certainly something to weigh up. In summary, while the G Shot can help to improve sexual pleasure, the O Shot has that same benefit but can also help with a range of intimate health issues too. Read How I Improved My Lichen Sclerosus

Had a consultation with Elite yesterday, I must say I was a bit nervous, but Dr Shirin was so friendly and helpful.
I was given lots of advice and was given treatment options that were within my budget.
A few weeks after the P Shot I've really started to see a difference and have gained my confidence back.

Thank You!

Elite is an outstanding professional clinic with high standard treatments. All the staff members are friendly and offer you honest opinions when it comes to products and treatments. This is a welcoming clinic that I can 100% recommend. Treatments are spoken through and explained in detail, also aftercare. I have been going nearly a year now and am happy with all the treatments I’ve had, wouldn't go anywhere else. The Bocox treatment started to work within a few days, which I was surprised about. So glad I went to Elite for treatment.

Thank you Dr Shirin, the O Shot has really helped me with my Lichen Sclerosus. I'd heard about the treatment on the LS Facebook Groups and message a few people that had treatment with Dr Shirin. I was like many in the group who had run out of treatment options and using creams on a daily basis. I have to say a few months after treatment, I can see a real positive change and I'm hoping my LS will continue to improve. Dr Shirin did say that I might have to have a second treatment given how severe my case is.

Hi, Alex here,Just had my Lichen treatment today with Dr Shirin,The whole team at elite are very friendly, comforting and understanding, and did everything they could to give me a wonderful and welcoming experience. They are all so kind, friendly and knowledgeable, world experts at what they do. I am lucky to have them near London. They are also super responsive on the phone and email, so I know they care about thier patients, and I'm very well taken care of, (as with other clinics I have been to, its often difficult to get them to respond to questions), but this clinic is the most responsive I have ever seen! This is a beautiful and wonderful place and I highly recommend it, and I will be recommending it to all my friends as well. They definitely deserve the super high reviews they are getting, so I'm happy to add another one! A Big thank you from me and my family for all you have done for us during this journey!

Yesterday I had a 'body sculpt' session, to help lymphatic drainage. I was zipped into a suit up to my waist. This massaged and lightly squeezed my feet, ankles, calves, thighs and abdomen. I was breathing oxygen rich air via nasal tubes. It was very relaxing and I slept really well last night. Thank you Elite Aesthetics.
