What Is Thread Lift Puckering?
Thread Lift Puckering is when a thread is pulling the skin and dimples become apparent. This is quite common and not to be overly concerned about as it will settle quickly.
PDO Thread Lift puckering, dimpling and visibility of threads are often the most troubling to patients and practitioners. These complications can be applied to various types of threads including PDO, PLLA and PCA threads. It is essential that the doctor performing the treatment is experienced and working in a CQC registered premises.
At Elite Aesthetics all of our doctors that perform Thread Lifts are Trainers for Threads and regularly train other doctors on how to perform the treatment. They are highly experienced and therefore know how to avoid complications with this treatment. The best way to avoid PDO thread complications is to obtain the right training in how to correctly and safely place threads based upon the patients face.
The benefit of PDO threads is that they are dissolvable, therefore making this problem only temporary. However we rarely have any complications with thread treatments.

- Have your treatment at a CQC and Save Face registered clinic as they are required to adhere to the highest level of standards and safety.

All of our threads are from reputable sources. Having a range of threads enables our doctors to use the right threads for the right results and combine them to get your the most cost effect result.
- It’s all about the art! Whilst you may feel that a Thread Lift is a one fits all treatment, there is a significant artistic element. Knowing where to place the threads based up on your face shape, skin laxity, muscles and end goal will all feed in to making the ideal result for you. Our doctors will ask you to make facial expressions before your treatment to help identify the areas that will benefit from threads.
- Experience, Experience and Experience. Our doctors have performed 100s of thread lifts between them and they are regularly training other doctors in the master classes. We are the only practice with 3 Thread Lift Expert Doctors who are also trainers for Thread Lift.
