- Qualifications – Look for someone who is fully qualified and has been practising for several years. They should be able to tell you where they trained and produce certificates to verify their qualifications. Look for a GMC Certificate and someone who is CQC Registered.

- Insurance – A reputable clinic or aesthetician will be fully insured and willing to show you evidence of this. Insurance not only protects you if something goes wrong, but an aesthetician that’s willing to practice without it should fire off warning bells!
- Examples of Their Work – A skilled aesthetician will be more than happy to show you examples of their previous work. Don’t be afraid to ask for before and after photos.
- Honest Consultations – A good aesthetician will do a full consultation with you before treatment. They’ll ask you questions about what you’re looking to achieve with fillers for the lips, cost will be discussed and they will give you all the information you need to make an informed decision.
