Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, or BHRT, is a treatment process where the patient takes a course of bespoke hormone supplements to treat hormonal imbalances in the body. It uses bioidentical hormones, which are derived from natural sources and structurally identical to your body’s own naturally produced hormones. This is different to traditional hormone replacement therapy, which uses synthetic hormones. We prefer bioidentical hormones to synthetic hormone replacement therapy, as there are considerably fewer side effects associated with BHRT than synthetic hormone treatment.

However, they aren’t identical, and these subtle differences in chemical composition can cause the synthetic hormones to act differently in the body. Bioidentical hormones are also produced in a lab to ensure their purity and safety, but unlike synthetic hormones, they are 100% identical to the structure of your own hormones, and the effects and benefits of BHRT treatment are designed to closely replicate those of your own hormones.
